Our Idea of Your Day

Your day is about the two of you, your families, your friends and - most importantly - marrying the person you want to spend the rest of your life with!

Your wedding photography should reflect what YOUR wedding is all about. From those tiny details that you have obsessed over, to capturing everyone who's helping you to celebrate one of your most important days.

I totally believe that people are at their best when they are relaxed, natural and completely being themselves; my style of photography allows people to do just that.

Your photos will tell the true story of your wedding day without all the dos and don’t from the photographer and no forced or contrived poses!

You want something unique and we know exactly where you’re coming from.

I am a North West-based wedding / portrait / commercial photographer, based at Oswaldtwistle Mills Business Centre, located near to J7 of the M65.

About Us

Thank you for looking at our site, just a little about who Lord Photography is and how it came to be.

My name is Chris Lord and I run / own Lord Photography.

Located at the well known and loved Oswaldtwistle Mills Business Centre.

I have been a photographer for over 17 years.

In our 8 years of business from concept to reality I have been all over the country photographing various subjects from Brides to nurseries / schools to underwater photography and more recently instructional images for a national media campaign.

I enjoy the challenge for me, is to capture that split second reaction, that facial expression that most other people would miss but that I can immortalise in an image!

When im not behind the camera i love spending time with my amazing family. Im a husband to a great wife, Vicky and father to 3 fantastic boys. Dan, Tom and Sam. WE also have our furbaby Harry, a Jack Russell. In the tiny bit of spare time i have i manage a local Under 14s Football team.

I found Chris through his website, he was one of the first to respond and after one phone call later that day we had an appointment booked and I instantly knew I had found my photographer. We booked Chris just 12 weeks before the wedding and he was able to attend 2 days of celebrations, in which he captured both of them as perfectly as they happened. The ceremony was relaxed and simple by lake Windermere, and the garden party celebrations was just the same everybody looks happy and enjoying the sunshine. For me these pictures are just as good as a video as they tell the tale of how the 2 days went, Chris Lord is a very talented man to be able to capture that.
Chris was friendly and chatty and managed to help keep the nerves down, which is just what you need on your big day. I have a lot to thank Chris for and I would recommend this photographer to everyone!

Thanks ever so much Chris for our fabulous photos , you really have captured our day as we requested.
When looking for a photographer we were worried that we would get someone that had a set view of how wedding photos should be and stuck to it.
But you took all our ideas on board and produced relaxed ad hoc photos just as we wanted them.
The photos taken at Mere hall are perfect but the photos at the Reebok stadium are absolutely stunning and we are over the moon with the pitch side photos are getting many compliments from friends and family.

From the moment I started contact with Chris, I knew he was a likeable sort of chap. I had a pre-meeting chat with him on the phone and again in person when my 'husband to be' was present. We made it clear to Chris what we wanted from our special day and as much as possible, we just wanted him to blend into the day without causing us any disruption.

I can honestly say, he did just that for us. He was there, snapping away and yes he had the 'LIST' of must pictures which he did justice to, but it really did feel like it was still our day. Chris took some adorable natural pictures of our little girl too, which we will be using as an enlarged portrait picture. That in itself saved us money.

We had a few sets of shots on our own with Chris which was also lovely because we got away from the hustle of the day and had some time out to celebrate our marriage and Chris reflects that in his natural photos.

I really would recommend Chris Lord and the work he does. A great offer price and the photos are of fantastic quality. If you want to pay extra for the Wedding photo album, he can do that also.
